Interior Palace Complex of La Alhabra in Granada, Spain

Pronounced 'Al-Ḥamrā', Alhambra means 'The Red One' or 'The Red House' in English, and is one of the most iconic historical sites in Spain. Its construction began in 1238 by Muhammad I Ibn al-Ahmar on Sabika Hill, an outcrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Alhambra can be seen across different areas of Granada, with picturesque views from Mezquita Mayor de Granada, as captured in this photograph.
