Into the Sahara

As we enter the Sahara desert, I'm amazed how quiet it is. I can hear the soft plodding of the camel’s feet, spreading out like snowshoes over the sand with each step. Abrahim, our camel guide and native Berber, stops and turns us into the setting sun. Dismounting, we enjoy the changing light on these massive dunes, marveling at how our footprints set off small sand avalanches along the ridge. This is an experience we will never forget.
