Invisible Presence
In Hindu tradition, a period of sixteen days is preserved every year to pay homage to the departed ancestors. It is called 'Pitru Paksha'. It is a ritual to honors the invisible presence of the souls of the loved ones by offering them flowers, food and prayers. This thousands of years old tradition is intended to help the departed, lingering souls to attain moksha, the ultimate liberation.
