Ishasha tree lion
Lions do not typically live in trees. While theories abound, researchers are baffled as to why the lions in Ishasha, Queen Elizabeth National Park, choose to spend much of their days in acacia and other trees. The pride of lions ignored our proximity in the two safari vehicles. They were lazing around in the mid-morning hours, likely digesting a meal they had caught shortly prior to our arrival.
