In the middle of the woods nestled among steep cliffs and the impressive mountains of the German Alps lies Lake Eibsee with its dozens of picturesque little islands. In this picture one of these islands is perfectly framed by tree branches, rising from the deep waters, illuminated by the first beams of the rising sun. Surrounded by crystal clear turqoise waters this isolated island made for a perfect scenery on our hike through the German Alps near Zugspitze.
