It is easy to forget that the sun rises and shines on us all
Even from thousands of miles away, I'd heard tales of the storied sunrises the greet the temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. And so I woke up at 4 AM to beat the crowds into the temple, but still I was too late. So I watched instead from a distance, only to catch a cloudy morning and perhaps the most unspectacular sunrise I've ever seen. Just as I was about to leave, a movement on the temple roof caught my eyes. A monkey! I ran through the crowd and captured this image just as the sun rose to the perfect height.
