12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
It's the Journey!
While trying to photograph a water lily and its reflection, a feather floated by. It caught my attention, and I think makes for a much more interesting image than the traditional flower and reflection. Unanticipated interruptions are sometimes very helpful!
