In the La Sagrada Família, in Barcelona, which was begun in 1882 and is scheduled for completion in 2026, It is the light on the columns that moved me most. Gaudi, that amazing creative genius, made sure the columns were like trees sprouting far above, and that the light from the stained glass windows would provide ever changing hues on the columns. It is both humbling and an awe inspiring thing to see.
