I've Been Spotted!
This cactus wren was one of a pair building a nest in the cactus that gives the birds their name. The two took turns leaving to find nesting materials like twigs and bits of fluff. I stood less than two feet away, watching them build their nest for over an hour. They knew I was there, but allowed me to stay and watch their intimate ritual.
