Jack the miller, Bale Grist Mill
The Bale Grist Mill in St. Helena, California, first opened for business in 1846, when California was still part of Mexico. Today the old mill is a state park where you can buy organic stone-milled wheat, corn, rye, and other heritage grains. Jack is an interpreter and miller at the park, using authentic historic processes and equipment to produce a variety of products.
