Jaguar
We had been following a jaguar walking on the bank of the Cuiaba river for some time. The bank started to rise and we lost sight of him. We found him again after a few minutes. He was sitting low in high grass with only the top of his head apparent. As I started to put my handheld camera and its 800mm lens down my guide reminded me that jaguars like all cats were highly unpredictable. I picked it up again ignoring my lower back pain. A few minutes later he suddenly jumped high in the air and landed on a Capybara down in the river.
