Japanese Wishing Plaques
These wooden wishing plaques are called Ema and can be seen in every temple and shrine in Japan. They are purchased and then your wishes are written on them and hung on a communal wall. Each shrine/temple has its own designs which are beautiful in their simplicity on plain pine shape.
