This body of work reflects my experience in high school and the lesson I have learned from a deteriorating relationship. I began photographing myself in my bedroom with the absence of my full face. Without these facial features, viewers are unable to see my entire figure, suggesting the idea that we do not reveal our true selves. By choosing to photograph in my bedroom, I illustrate a controlled personality that I have created. Based on the images on walls and decoration of the space assumptions can be made about myself. Based on the photograph, I enjoy taking pictures and decorating simply. Although these attributions are true, there is much more to me than that. High school has brought me to the conclusion that personalities do not change, we slowly learn more about each individual that we choose to surround ourselves with.
