Jing'An Corridors

While on an assignment to document and write about the religious institutions in Shanghai, I found time on a busy evening to visit the famous Jing'an Buddhist Temple. I was entranced at this moment while walking around and listening to a monk singing a tune that echoed through the halls of the temple. What I thought was unique about the Jing'an Temple was the wooden construction all throughout the temple that gives the exterior its iconic brown color as opposed to the normal red and green color scheme.
