José Rafael Rubio, Avenida Independencia

“I work as a Shoe Shine because it is honest work and provides enough for me to survive. It is a very humble job, and it keeps my mind occupied. I earn enough coins to live. Nowadays if a man does not work, it’s because he has a well-off woman who keeps him, but a man should not be kept by a woman. A man should work to get ahead by his own efforts. I am 49 years old, I have lived those years well and have worked different jobs. Now I dedicate myself to cleaning and shining shoes.”
