I imagine a sustainable travel project that supports the local community, drawing on what is naturally present in that community. The Abbey at Montserrat represents sustainable travel to me. It is not over commercialized, and beautifully and carefully preserves and respects local history. Local farmers and artisans are given a space to sell their local goods. It is a wonderful balance of preservation and tourism. The photo focuses on a sculpture by Josef Subirachs called the "Stairway of Understanding", inspired by Ramon Llull. A fitting sculpture for this beautiful site.
