Joseph has a wealth of wisdom and stories from his 85 years in Penang. He’s only left the island once but his big-picture worldview has been shaped by changes in leadership during his residency (Britain, Japan, and an evolving democracy in Malaysia). His first love was his wife of 55+ years who was irreplaceable after her passing four years ago. His children including one doctor have moved far beyond the shores of Penang but return often to enjoy time with their father.
