22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Drone/Aerial
Journey of Life
Aerial photography of Lake Magadi, coinciding with the rapid transition from the rainy season to the dry season, caused by the evaporation of fresh water, the proportion of the lake water increased, and chemical sediment at the bottom of the lake surfaced, forming a large number of connected patterns. These patterns often lasted only a few days. With the arrival of the dry season, only a few centimeters deep large area of the lake surface would become a dry riverbed. I was fortunate to have caught this opportunity, and groups of flamingos came to cheer up, bestowing a dreamy beauty from heaven.
