Summer in the Bar Harbor, Maine area is usually bustling with vacation goers and hikers. During the Independence Day holiday in 2020 it was a different story...almost eerily quiet there was no foot traffic on the Somesville Bridge. However, on this beautiful July 3rd, the carefully planted patriotic colored flowers were in full bloom and the Old Glory hung on the iconic bridge. It was a celebration of the resiliency and commitment of the American spirit.
