It is the most lively traditional folk activity around the Lantern Festival in Putian, Fujian province. The performers carry the "sedan chair" and jump over the roaring fire again and again to the sound of tight gongs and drums. The crowd of onlookers also shout and cheer to avoid disasters and pray for good luck.
