I took this image at Cooch Behar,West Bengal,India in the village where my school is located. This is a very common scene of the village where children are found working in different fields instead of going to schools and the main reason behind this is poverty. The children in this image are engaged in jute skinning.Being a school teacher, I take the initiative of going to every house of the village and try to convince the families so that they send their children to schools.I tell them how they can avail the different facilities like mid day meal,School dress,Shoes etc. provided by the government along with educating their children. It brings a ray of happiness, smile and satisfaction when i see those children coming to school with curves of smile and laughter on their faces.
