Kachari tribe celebration of Nagaland

The sixteen tribes of Nagaland celebrate number of festivals among which "Bushu" is a colorful and prominent one. The Kachari tribe celebrates "Bushu" festival which is basically a post harvest festival and usually falls in the month of January after the hard earned grains of paddy are harvested and stored in granaries. People start celebrating this festival where there is moonlight with the believe that to be auspicious.
