'Kandanar Kelan Theyyam' is a tribal god worshipped in the northern parts of Kerala, India. The ritualistic performance happens once every year at a small temple and people from nearby villages come to seek blessings from their god. 'Kandanar Kelan' includes a fire dance, mime, drum beats and also a ritualistic jumping through fire. the idea is to preserve the essentials of ancient tribal cultures which are attached with significance to the worship of heroes and the spirits of ancestors.
