This cross stands in Shell Beach, LA where the Mississippi River and the Gulf Outlet meet. It is part of the memorial to honor those who lost their lives in Hurricane Katrina in St. Bernard Parish. Pelicans and gulls can always be seen perching and swimming at this location.
