Keeping my eye on you.
The Australian Owlet-nightjar is a nocturnal bird rarely seen during the day. It has a distinctive shaped head, a tiny bill and huge eyes that make it unique. This fellow watched me as I walked along a dry creek bed, but never fully showed himself, always hiding behind the gum tree limbs, and peeking at me.
