King on his throne

An elderly Senegalese man projects a confidence and natural authority only reinforced by the gas cylinders in his back. They seemed to have been placed there to assert his sovereign power and, well aligned behind his head, also symbolize his protection. Adorned with a shell necklace as royal regalia, dressed in a golden kaftan, and crowned with a simple woolen hat, he is like a king on his throne.
