Kingdom Come
Lepeta & Lpitalo, the two Samburu warriors pictured here, lookout over a popular meeting place. These warriors are caretakers not only of their fellow Samburu people, but also of the ancient warrior tradition. They intimately know the land - it is part of their ancestral duty. Since they were young, Lepeta & Lpitalo have traversed every inch of this land, in the footsteps of their elders, to find places to feed their livestock. The tradition of warriorhood in Samburu culture is a rite of passage into adulthood; you can find iterations of this in most cultures. Every 7 years, the ceremony of initiation into warriorhood welcomes a new generation of young men who are now tasked with taking care of their tribe, families, & livestock.
