An early morning in April 2023 at the retirement home for horses in Soest. A relaxed horse waking up to the morning sun beautifully backlighted by the sunlight. This was in preparation of my participation with photographs at an exhibition held in this location for a good cause. The theme was "Nobel" and I wanted to find a way to photograph the horse in a "ring of light" so the morning sun was a perfect setting to put this horse in the center of light showing how illustruous adn wise he is even at his old age. I was inspired by the lyrics of a song by Melody Gadot: "That morning sun has come to greet you She's peeking 'round the corner Just waiting just to meet you Shining down on all your troubles"
