Kormodo Halidu, A Tchauro

Kormodo Halidu - tchauro. Tchauro is a local name for traditional healer, well known in Sahel region of Burkina Faso. Their knowledge is part of a family heritage and their healing power comes from the usage of special herbs and plants and the power of spirits. Being in a region where medical help is scarce, the majority of people come to seek help to local tchaoros. Traditional healers were also urged by the local government to collaborate with scientific researches in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
