Kötuljökull an ash tinged Icelandic glacier

Kötuljökull is a tongue of the Myrdalsjökull icecap. Black volcanic ash streaks the blue ice. As the glaciers melt, what is left behind are mounds of black volcanic ash, the history of iceland's volcanic eruptions are written in the frozen catalog of it's glaciers.
