18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
La Jolla tidepools, ocean, and sky
My husband and I were on vacation in San Diego, CA, and I wanted to go to La Jolla, which is nearby, to photograph some of the beaches there, as I've seen some gorgeous ones online! I'm not positive, but I think this was taken at Hospital Beach (there aren't a lot of signs telling you the beach names, and we walked pretty far once we were down on the beach, too.). And, wow, everywhere I looked there was an incredible photo just waiting to be taken! Plus, the sky was fantastic!
