23rd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
Labor & Isolation II
A construction worker throws bricks from the top floor of an unfinished building into a dumpster on the ground level. I love the idea of suspended motion and those bricks leaving his hand at THIS particular moment felt like cinema. The vertical geometry around him itched the part of my brain that really loves architecture. Also, a lot of construction pictures feel cold. I felt like this image leaned more intimate and more warm.
