A moment captured in La Perla, a section of Old San Juan that has gotten a bad rep over the years. As I ventured into the area, I noticed this lady with a bunch of cats around. I didn't speak Spanish and she didn't speak English, yet we communicated and she consented I can photograph her. At one point she got a rooster out and held it proudly.
