Lal Kach Festival

Hindu children paint themselves with orange color and hold swords as they show power against evil to welcome the Bengali New Year in Munshiganj, Bangladesh as part of the Lal Kach (Red Glass) Festival. It is all part of a very long tradition going back hundreds of years. The Hindus, especially the young, paint themselves in orange, take up swords, bring out processions and dance.
