The bearded vulture has been persecuted for decades, accused - in a totally unfounded way - of attacking cattle and even people. Currently, the main problem that affects the species is the rebound of the use of poison, an absolutely illegal and unjustifiable activity, which accounts for more than 30% of the losses suffered by the raptor.
