14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Land of abundance
On the drive from Calgary to the Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump World Heritage Site, I was so impressed by the fertility of the land seen on both sides of the highway. The dark clouds at the background and golden sunshine at the foreground lends a dramatic effect to the photo.
