There is a phrase in French, "l'appel du vide" which translates as "call of the void". It refers to the phenomenon of the sudden urge to jump from a high place. In taking this photo, I experienced the opposite of that urge. The drama of figure stood high above me on the bridge, outlined against the grey sky, called to me. So, I've titled this photo, "l'appel de la hauteur" or, "the call of the height". The coast of Cornwall is a rugged landscape and the primal sense of this photo encapsulates that wildness for me.
