Milovice is more known as the site of the old Soviet Army cantonment just north of Prague, but today is a wilderness for butterflies. At the north end of the old military camp is a butterfly reserve. After many years of searching, this summer I discovered the Large Copper in the area. In 1994 the L dispar was listed as endangered and today is registered with IUCN as Near Threatened.
