Early on in the COVID-19 pandemic, many people took a break from sheltering in place by getting outside, particularly at beaches. In Maine in early spring, the air is still very cold and the water is even colder. A few brave bathers dipped their toes in, but the beach was predominately occupied by a flock of seagulls, perhaps taking back the beach in the absence of people.
