Caption: Laundry coming alive in an African wind; Photo by Ralph Gallay, Ph.D. Story behind the photo: Here is my favorite photo of laundry, not a very interesting subject but it seemed to capture excitement of my surroundings. It was taken at our camping area in Namibia-Naukluft National Park in Namibia. This was just one week into a seven-week excursion I was making, circling much of Southern Africa on safari though many countries by truck. I had been doing some laundry on a particularly windy day and when I hung it up to dry it just seemed to come alive and presented a good photo opportunity.
