Women. The go-getters of mankind. We innately hold the world on our shoulders. I love this shot of an Italian woman on laundry day, in her slippers, on her stoop having a cigarette. To me, she represents the industrious female. Is it European smoking culture or a stress break? Her expression and body language suggest that she is having a morning, but who am I to make that call? Just another woman, bystanding and observing.
