Laura and Peppo lived together for five years, from 2011 to 2016

When her dog Peppo fell ill with leukemia, the choice to preserve his skull and tail is immediate: «I think the preservation of bones is a tool to honor the memory of our animals». She could have done the procedure herself, she says: «I tried with the skull of a badger found dead by a friend of mine by the lake. We cut off his head, i kept it closed all summer in a bucket of water, now I just have to whiten it. But it's not easy to do it on your dog, I don't think I would be able to».
