Our area of Northern Michigan near Traverse City is known for our fabulous barns. This barn has been shown in many photography books highlighting it in all seasons. I was there at my children’s home for our annual July 4th family celebration and saw the red poppies waving in the wind and took this picture. Where we live in Leland Michigan we celebrate with a real old fashioned parade ( all hand made floats) and it is one of the best times of the year.
