This female leopard jumped onto a dry riverbed in an attempt to catch a puku, and was unsuccessful, leaving her fully exposed with prey all around her, watching and waiting for her next move. She turned on the spot for several minutes, and spotted this baby, whom she correctly figured she could outrun.
