Letter to Christiana

Dear Christina, Photography has been a passion of mine from childhood. I was gifted my first toy video camera when I was 12 and my first DSLR when I was 16, both given to me by my aunt. My grandfather’s hobby is photography and so is my aunt’s. Their love for capturing memories is what influenced me to do the same. Capturing moments for other people to relive the feelings they felt in that moment is what is important to me. Capturing nature as it is living in that moment, is what is important to me. Creating art for other people to connect with to reassure them that they aren’t alone in their experiences, is what is important to me. I value the connection between two people. We are born alone and we die alone but during this lifetime it is beautiful when you’re able to connect with people through different ways, whether it be through a passing eye glance accompanied with a smile, a conversation, or art. Through photography I want to create that connection for people. I want to thank you for gifting me with your husband’s analog camera. Your gift means so much to me in so many ways. It is truly an honor and you touched my heart. I appreciate you for believing in my passion for photography. The memory of you and the sincerity in your personality along with your husband’s passion for photograph will forever be with me.
