Leucistic White Tailed Deer
This unusually beautiful white tailed deer was born with a genetic mutation that causes its coat to be mainly white, rather than brown. It is not, however, albino, because it does have some coloration, and its eyes are brown, not pink. Because leucistic deer do not have the protective coloring of their brethren and because they generally have other serious birth defects affecting internal organs, they are generally short lived. But it is always a treat to encounter one of these rare creatures in the wild.
