Life and Death in Yellowstone

Just before the sun rose, grizzly 791 chased an injured elk into the Yellowstone River and drowned it. He then drug the approximate 700 lb animal to the shore, proceeded to dig out a place to lay on top of his hard won kill and laid there for the rest of the day. When he opened his eyes and looked across the river at me (at least that is how it felt) I got the sense that he was telling the line of photographers across the river, that, this is mine.
