Life in a Cretan village
This photograph shows an elderly Cretan lady crocheting in the yard of her house. The traditional art of crocheting is still flourishing in the villages as well as in the entire region of Crete (Greece). Crocheting and other forms of handicraft are proven to have several health benefits including reducing stress and anxiety and improving Alzheimer's disease, insomnia and depression.
