Life within a frame
I photographed this betel seller at Assi Ghat, Varanasi. He lived in the same small shop of him. He had been selling betel since he was 10 years old. The colors and mood made me take a picture of the beautiful subject. Chewing the mixture of areca nut and betel leaf is a tradition, custom or ritual which dates back thousands of years from India to the Pacific.
