Light and Darkness
This shot was taken at Sammezzano Castle, Tuscany, Italy. Sammezzano is a one-of-a-kind castle. It was build in ancient times and renovated at the end of 1800 by Ferdinando Panciatichi Ximenes of Aragon. At present times the castle is abandoned as the society who bought it in 1955 from the Panciatichi family has failed. It could only be visted twice a year with a guided tour. The local community has created a movement to inform italian goverment of the castle situation hoping that it will be nominated national treasure.
